The Rotary Club has agreed to do the catering at the van Someren Equestrian Vaulting Event to be held Saturday 15th July 2017 at the Orford Indoor Arena 1649 Tarrone Lane Orford. The Club will be using the Port Fairy Community Food Van and net proceeds from sales of food and drink* will go to the Rotary Club ( * we can sell drinks - excl. coffee/tea). We envisage a small set-up / pull-down team plus two shifts of three volunteers for 3 hours to serve food. Adrian Crosier and Bernie Waixel have volunteered to deliver and setup the food van on the Friday afternoon (14th July) and pull it down on Saturday afternoon (15th July) after the conclusion of the event. |

Tree plantings and suitable trees for the Port Fairy area

Richard Hodgens has had a long association with the Rotary Club of Port Fairy when we have engaged with him on weeding of reserves, tree planting and road and beach clean-ups. Richard will talk to Rotarians about tree plantings and suitable trees for our area ahead of our tree planting event at Battery Hill on 20th August and as providing advice for the Club's wider tree planting initiative in 2017/18. |

The Rotary Club's usual commitment to keeping the shrubs along Skenes Road between the town and the Golf Club free of weeds and the associated clean-up of litter along the roadside. As many volunteers as possible are required as "many hands make light work!" Assemble at the airport entrance. Bring along you hi-viz vests for safety as well as gardening gloves and sensible footwear. |

The Friends of Port Fairy Rotary will be hosting a fundraising event on Friday 29th September when they will be showing the movie - Dunkirk - at the Reardon Theatre. Tea, coffee and biscuits to be served. Cost will be $15 per person. There will be an afternoon matinee screened at 1:30pm and an evening session at 7:30pm |

An Open Gardens fundraiser will be held on Sunday 19th November 2017. This will be a special event to raise funds towards President Bill Moore's project of "End Trachoma by 2020" A total of 5 gardens will be open between 10 am and 4 pm and we require 3 shifts of 2 hours by 5 people to man the gates. We also require assistance with serving of morning and afternoon tea. (3 shifts of 3 people)
