The Charles Mills Reserve iconic flagpole has received a full makeover thanks to the Port of Port Fairy and local boat-builder, Gary Stewart.  During the recent Rotary working bee at the reserve it was determined that the flagpole needed some serious repairs, so it was lowered and taken off to Gary's workshop.  Rotting wood was repaired and repainted.  The adjustable triangular rigging was replaced and is now once again functional.

Following completion of the repairs, the flagpole was reinstalled with the assistance of the Port's crane.  It is now back as the centre piece in the reserve, and ready to 'fly the flag' thanks to all concerned.
