The Rotary Club of Port Fairy recently donated $300 to RAM (Rotary Against Malaria) and in so doing joined the Adopt a Village Scheme whereby our funds are targeted to assist Meitha [Kapari] in the Abau District of the Central Province of Papua New Guinea.
The Adopt a Village program is run by RAM with the explicit aim of reducing malaria by assisting every man, woman and child in the village to have the opportunity to sleep under a Long Lasting Insecticidal Mosquito Net (LLIN) at night to protect them against malaria carrying mosquitoes.
