Port Fairy supports the District Governor's Golf Day in Terang

Port Fairy Rotary Club was a big supporter of the District Governor's Golf Day held 19th February by fielding two teams of four in the Ambrose competition held at the Terang Golf Club.
Team # 1 made up of Bernie Waixel, Malcolm Needham, Gordan Harman and Denise Harman had a good day finishing 2nd on handicap. Team #2, skippered by Derek Southey along with Harry Bracegirdle, Shane Morris and John Ellard didn't fair so well coming in last despite playing steady but not scintillating golf.The day, which was organised by the Terang Rotary Club, was disappointing in that only 5 teams competed (Belmont, Hamilton and Warrnambool East and the two teams from Port Fairy) but nevertheless enjoyable, as all who competed had a good time despite the hot conditions.
The runaway winners of the trophy was the Belmont Club who were far and above the rest of the teams.
