President's Report for April 2013
Hello Rotarians,
The Police Golf Day on Monday was the last of our commitments for a while. We have had a busy summer and autumn season, so now we can have a rest and enjoy the fellowship of Rotary.
We have an Italian Night to kick off Warrnambool Race Week. This will be held at the Whitehead home at 38 Albert Road on Monday 29th April. It will be a partner’s night and will commence at 6.30pm.
We need to assist Marg Broers and give her names of people in our community who would like to learn more about Rotary and in turn contemplate becoming members of our Club. Port Fairy was leading the district in increasing our membership last year but we have slipped back this year so we need to make an effort to remedy this.
April is Magazine Month on the Rotary Calendar. It is a time when we should use and promote our own Clubrunner, the District Clubrunner and our Rotary Down Under magazine. These are all tools for ideas and to learn what other clubs do. Of course they are also a great way to promote the Rotary name.
Sunday 5th May is our District Assembly in Stawell. Hester Woodrup and I are attending but would welcome other members joining us. A bus runs from Warrnambool for anyone interested. It is a great day to get the feel of the wider aspects of the Rotary movement.
