President's Report for July

Hello Fellow Rotarians,

Since my induction 2 weeks ago projects have already begun. It was decided at last week's meeting, and my first as President, to be actively involved with Peter's Project, the much needed cancer center in Warrnambool. The Lions Club of Port Fairy would like our club to be joint coordinators of a fund raising campaign in Port Fairy. We shall in the near future hold a public meeting for interested people to form a committee to plan future fundraising for this project.

The committee have plans for some interesting speakers to attend our club this year. If any member has any suggestions for speakers please let the committee know. It is always good to learn about other peoples lives and what interests them.

As I stated at my induction, I shall have Interplast as my special focus in my year as president. I shall endeavor to arrange for a speaker to attend a meeting at our club and organise a fundraiser for this program.

In this month we conducted our rotation of Meals on Wheels and thank you to those who volunteered. We have members going on leave at different times over the next few months, but I am sure we can still achieve good out comes for our club.
