The Rotary Club of Port Fairy held another successful Open Gardens Day fundraising event on Sunday 16th November 2014.  This year's event saw five Port Fairy Gardens on display that raised approximately $3,400 that will ultimately go towards the Club's target of raising $10,000 towards the Port Fairy Hospital refurbishment program.

The Club is very grateful to all who opened their gardens on the day – Vicki, Bruce & Andrea Lowenthal, Sue & Ken Barnes, Angela & Marten Syme, Kathryn Weatherly & Ian Risbey and Jann & Peter Condon.

It is estimated that over 150 people paid to view these five magnificent gardens on what was a fine but blustery day in Port Fairy.

The raffle prize of a garden seat was won by Rob Langley from South Australia and the 2nd prize of a rose plant was won by Rotarian, Hester Woodrup.  The door prize donated by Jann & Peter Condon, being a voucher for Risk Gallery was won by Jon Taylor of Port Fairy.

As the event is such a good fundraiser for the Club another, similar Open Garden day will undoubtedly be on next year's calendar.
