Rotary Club of Port Fairy - Open Gardens Day 2014
The Rotary Club of Port Fairy will again hold an Open Gardens Day in Port Fairy following the success of last year's event which raised over $4,000 for medical assistance programs.
The Open Gardens Day, which is being organised by Rotarians Hester Woodrup and Margaret Whitehead, will be held on Sunday 16th November 2014 from 10am to 4pm and will feature five of Port Fairy's most prominent gardens. The entry price is $20 and an afternoon tea can be purchased for $5.
Tickets can be obtained in advance from the Hester Woodrup (5568-1307) or Margaret Whitehead (5568-1443) after 1st November. All proceeds will go to support the Port Fairy Hospital refurbishment project.
The five, local gardens on show in 2014 are:
- Angela & Martin Syme (Wishart Street)
- Sue & Ken Barnes (Baden Powell Drive)
- Vicky and Bruce Lowenthal (Gratton Street)
- Kathryn Weatherly and Ian Risbey (William Street)
- Jan & Peter Condon (Osmonds Lane) NB. Afternoon tea at Condon's residence
In addition, the galleries at 4 and 5 above will be open for visitors.
