The Rotary Club of Port Fairy has been awarded a grant under the District 9780's Club Strengthening Grant program. A total of $635 has been awarded towards the cost of a new, portable PA system to be used at Rotary meetings and outside functions.
In addition, the Club also received notification from the Moyne Shire Council of a Community Assistance Fund grant of $1,500 awarded for gardening equipment.

The grants are both made on a 50/50 matched funding basis and will enable the Club to purchase the battery operated, portable PA system complete with two radio microphones. The Moyne Shire Grant will cover the purchase of a trailer and gardening equipment.
The Club still awaits the outcome on two other grants - the Commonwealth Government's Volunteer's Grant and the South West Community Foundation Grant. The latter seeks funds towards the fit-out of a room at the soon-to-be-built Rotary House in Warrnambool for which we have already received partial funding from Pacific Hydro.
