Rotary helps make the Port Fairy Show a great success
The Rotary Club of Port Fairy traditionally mans the gate at the Port Fairy Show and this year a small team of Rotary volunteers helped make the Show the best yet.
The following is an extract from a letter of thanks received by Secretary, Harry Bracegirdle, from the Port Fairy Show Society.
Dear Harry
On behalf of the Port Fairy Show Society, I wish to thank the Port Fairy Rotary Club for manning the gate on Showday November 3rd.
Our committee acknowledges the great help your club gives us on this day, we certainly don’t have the manpower to cover the gate, and by volunteering your services, the community can see what Rotary is all about.
You took approx $13,000 through the gate and this equates to between 2500 and 3000 people (including prepaid members tickets) so a great effort.
Again many thanks and same time next year I hope.
