Geoff Coxall and Bernie WaixelNine members of the Port Fairy Rotary Club continued the Club's good work in assisting the Moyne Shire Council in maintaining the areas around the south beach area.

Having assisted with the planting of vegetation around Port Fairy's Pea Soup car park earlier this year, the weeds had quickly taken hold.  On the request of Moyne Shire's Environmental Officer, Richard Hodgens is assisting with the general maintenance of public places in and around Port Fairy.

The work by  Rotary Club is expected to continue in coming months and even though we are a relatively small club the willing band of volunteers proved very quickly that "many hands make light work" as we quickly cleared the area within 45 minutes.  A job well done!
